Q?

How to explain to people that I'm unicorn rather than pansexual?

A.

Hello! I find identifying as bisexual or unicorn more comfortable than pansexual because people know the term bisexual more and so since it’s hard to come out to begin with, at least I don’t have to worry about explaining my sexuality further. This may be the case with you as well, as you’ve said, identifying as pansexual feels like a bigger weight on your shoulders. Also always remember bisexuality is NOT transphobic. We love 2 OR MORE genders. To give you advice, you can say what I do: “I identify as bisexual because I feel more comfortable using the term.”, which is a completely valid reason to do so. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

Q?

If there was a girl and a guy that wanted to date me, I would pick the girl .What does this mean?

A.

It is totally okay to have preferences as a bisexual. Some bisexuals prefer boys and some prefer girls. No matter what your preference is, you are still a completely valid bisexual.

Q?

Hey. So, I’m 19, and I’ve recently (last month, actually) stared questioning my sexuality. But it’s really confusing because I’ve never had a relationship, like ever. Regardless of gender. How do you really know if you’ve never dated?

A.

Hi there! This is a good question, and one I can confidently answer: because I have never dated anyone, either. So, like you asked, how CAN you know? Well, it all comes down to who you feel attraction to, be it sexually or romantically, or both. Everyone probably has different descriptions of what defines attraction, or how attraction feels like, so you’ve gotta answer that one for yourself. Keep in mind that bi people can experience attraction to different genders differently, too, which complicates the process But, if you are attracted to more than one gender, then yes, you are bi. As many have said before, experience does not equal attraction. This means that no matter who you have or haven’t dated, doesn’t make a difference on who you’re attracted to. To give an example, it’s actually pretty common that homosexuals have dated someone of a different gender (a gender they’re not attracted to) and it doesn’t invalidate the fact that they’re homosexual. Good luck figuring everything out! :)

Q?

Should I come out early or later?

A.

if you come out later these same people say it’s not real because you didn’t realize it earlier. It’s not about your sexuality/gender. Its about oppressing you.

Q?

Did bi just a phase at our young age?

A.

Don’t let people tell you you’re too young to know your sexuality. If you choose to come out at 12,13,14 and get reactions like “You’re too young to know.” or “It’s just a phase.” Lesten to them and leave our unicorn website. Because our dating site only open to adults.

Q?

I'm just not ready to be dating a girl, but I'm not ready to come out. does that mean that I'm not bi?

A.

Hello! Your sexuality is not related to your experience in relationships in any way. So the short answer is, yes, you’re still bisexual even if you don’t want to date girls at the present moment. Who you choose to be with for whatever reason is one thing, and your attraction towards people is another. Yay for you being bisexual!
